Dr. Nadia Millington

Profesor titular de práctica, Directora Adjunta del Programa, Innovación Social y Emprendimiento; y  Directora Adjunto, Laboratorio de Co-creación de Innovación LSE Departamento de Administración.

Nadia participate as an academic advisor and a speaker during different sessions. Her expertise both as a researcher with innovative companies in developing countries and as a social entrepreneur in Brazil will be useful for participants of the forum to understand the world of social innovation and entrepreneurship. Her know-how at the LSE Innovation and Co-creation lab will be used during the forum to guide participants on the process of designing and scaling social enterprises.

Dr. Richard Tomlins

Richard Tomlins, Research Associate, International Centre for Transformational Entrepreneurship, Coventry University and Director of Cohesia. Universidad de Coventry, Reino Unido.

Richard Tomlins is a Research Associate of the International Centre for Transformational Entrepreneurship, Coventry University. Coventry is the UK’s leading modern University and has now risen to number 12 in the overall University rankings.

Richard is an internationally recognised expert in the creative economy, social value and entrepreneurial innovation, community cohesion, regeneration, equalities and social inclusion as well as driving business and social gains through commissioning, procurement and social impact measurement. He has taken a formal role in academe again following successfully running his private sector company Cohesia since 2005.

Previously Professor of Race, Diversity and Housing at Leicester De Montfort University, and Visiting Professor of Race and Diversity at Coventry University he continues to work for Government through the Homes and Communities Agency’s Equality and Diversity Board Advisory Group (EDBAG for short!).

He is a Fellow of The Royal Society of Arts and member of the UK Council of Social Value UK.

Richard is well known for innovative and ground-breaking consultancy, training and research, for example, working directly with communities and consequently offering a wider and different perspective to his clients than the “branded consultancies”.

This includes recent work with favela organisations in Rio de Janeiro such as Instituto Cultural Polen and Favelas Observatory as well as Oi Kabum.

Richard’s Latin American work includes:

  • His social value and social entrepreneurship work in Mexico for INADEM in 2016.
  • Creative economy scoping at multiple locations in Brazil in 2017.
